I love to wander through dew-laden prairies and windswept gardens looking for secret messages and clues, and finding textures, colors, designs, forms and patterns in nature’s most intimate places. What looks like a pretty flower may hide an uncut gem, a secret corridor or a simple metaphor. Often we bypass important treasures that are soon forgotten – the old barn that has tumbled under the weight of snow, the rusted car sinking further into the terrain, an abandoned building waiting its demise from the bulldozer, or a loose window pane sliding into obscurity. Through color, line, pattern, shape and texture I want to share the beauty of these things that still have a story or lesson with the hope that the audience will accept this gift and never forget the wisdom of the message.
